Action required: Embedded forms using Copy/Paste method with reCAPTCHA enabled
Incident Report for FormAssembly
Resolved
On July 1st, we released a critical update to our reCAPTCHA feature and upgraded it to reCAPTCHA Enterprise. While all forms remain functional, customers using the Copy/Paste embed method reported error messaging on forms with reCAPTCHA enabled.

It has been determined that all forms using reCAPTCHA and the Copy/Paste embed will need to be republished to avoid this error moving forward. Forms published using any other method should not experience any issues.

Error detail below (prior to updating the HTML snippet):

After attempting to submit the first time, respondents will be redirected to the FormAssembly-hosted version of your form and see a reCAPTCHA error message. Respondents will then need to complete their submission on this FormAssembly-hosted form. All form information will be passed along during the redirect, and this error will not cause your forms to be submitted twice

Also please note that customers utilizing the Stripe Connector, the reCAPTCHA processing option, and who published their form via the Copy/Paste publishing method are reporting that their respondents are getting charged twice due to an outdated HTML snippet of your form. To fix this issue, please republish your HTML code snippet.
